  1. Hi James, i think its best to follow your Dr's instructions, and plus if you start the higher dose and don't like the way it makes you feel, you can always lower the dose, with meds, its always trial and error, one med may work better for you than others...and if one med doesnt work with other people doesnt mean it wont work for you. I am on 25mg of Prozac... and so far everything is ok.. i just am tired and gained some weight, but for your sleeping problems its not uncommon for meds to mess it up, maybe ask your doc for something that makes you sleepy at night? it will be ok! just hang in there!
  2. Hi Kristy, Welcome to AC!... i have been on medication since i was 13.. , it helped and i was doing great and then years later i had bad episodes. i am 30 now and agoraphobic with panic/OCD and derealization ( that shit scares me) what does your therapist tell you when you begin to feel that way? Have you thought about any medication?...
  3. Hi! welcome to AC, yes... tell me about it, if it wasn't for this site i would be very lonely..agoraphobia blows, you will meet a lot of people here! i have been agoraphobic since 2008... and it seems like the years go by soo fast and that i am missing soo much , i am 30 years old and still live at home with the parents ( its not bad) but when i see other people my age move on with their life and doing normal things, it just makes me think how this stupid panic sucks and is ruining my life. anyway come on chat sometime , its nice meeting new people!
  4. what kind of adult coloring books are we talking about?? my friend actually bought me a " sexual positions" coloring book and it's def distracting haha
  5. welcome to the agoraphobic club! here you will find many people with the similar issues, and you can talk to us anytime. i know exactly what u are going thru... ive been agoraphobic for about 6 years now. but i am getting a little better, so dont feel alone!
  6. Yes! Anxiety does weird stuff. Do you have anything in your life that's bothering you or stressing you out?
  7. YES AND YES! I get super anxious and then feel extremely tired like i have mono or something ( freaks me out) and i can stay anxious for a few days , so yes its normal.
  8. welcome to AC! don't worry we are pretty open on this site, it sounds like you have gone thru some stuff. you def are at the right place!
  9. Hi Claire! welcome to AC. I can see your concern with the spotting and getting diagnosed with that, but its best to get it checked. As far as i know i don't think you are too young for a pap? when i was sexually active at 17 i got one . And also the pill could be causing that, If i were you, i'd set up an appt to get a pap. So that way you can have some answers! hang in there!
  10. Welcome to site!! We are cool people
  11. i saw that! I too eat Trader Joes but i only eat the crunchy... what boggles my mind is i try to stay away from meat because of fear of salmonella, yet we can still get it from nuts!??? lol
  12. Hi Heather! Welcome to AC, it's nice meeting you. I think you will really relate with all of us here, we all go through the same thing and we each have our own way of dealing with it. I have accepted that i will have it for prolly the rest of my life but i just have to keep reminding myself that it's nothing new and i have been through this before. If you are absolutely worried about your brain, etc. It helps to get a check up to reassure yourself that you are fine and its just the damn anxiety messing with you. And don't worry about holding your daughter just yet, take things day by day . It does get easier . well with a lil help with Mr.X(anax) haha
  13. Welcome to AC , Alexa! You are at the right place, we all know what's it like but it's very comforting knowing there are tons of people like us esp on this site!
  14. I felt shaky on Lexapro and I would confuse it with thinking my blood sugar was low which lead me to over eat. but Lexapro is a great drug, give it some time and if you feel worse it never hurts to call the Doc.
