  1. I believe this might be a hemorrhoid or anal fissure. Try eating a little more fiber. Your stools might be hard or you're straining causing the rectal bleeding. I don't feel it is anything life threatening.
  2. You're stool color should return to normal after a few days. I think you're just fine!
  3. Hey everyone!!!!! I will be on chat at different points today. When I first joined AC 4 years ago (can't believe its been that long LOL), chat helped. It used to be always busy in there. I am not sure why it has dwindled off. Come on over and lets do some unofficial group therapy 🙂
  4. Hey!!!!!! How are things going for you? I am always willing to talk 🙂
  5. Body temperatures also fluctuate throughout the day. Seeing as how you took a very hot shower, I would say that is what raised your body temperature as it should. Nothing to worry about 🙂
  6. Stool color is rarely a cause for concern unless its black or red. ANY shade of brown is normal. What have you eaten the last 3 days? Have you taken any supplements or Pepto Bismol? I have had this fear for years! My doctor has always told me I was ok. Try not to get too worried. I know that isn't easy, but you got this and we're here for you!!!!!!

Hi everyone. I will be in Chat today. Lets get chat popping like it used to be!!! 🙂
  8. Your doctor is not going to risk his license and years of education by lying to you! Trust me, if the doctor says its nothing serious, it isn't! You are fine!
  9. Most cases of diarrhea are just annoying disturbances that will clear itself up. If you have no other signs or symptoms, its very likely that it is nothing to worry about. Your doctor will advise what is the best way to approach it!
  10. I think you are tensed up from anxiety! Anxiety can make our bodies do all sorts of unpleasant things. Oral cancer is predominant in tobacco users and those with a family history of it. Live as healthy a lifestyle as you can and I assure you, everything will be fine!
  11. I don't think you are at 60 hours of no sleep. I think the little naps you are getting in are compensating SOME. What type of stress do you have in your life? I would get with a Therapist once a week. Not a Psychiatrist, a Therapist. Also Chamomile tea helps. Everything will be fine. You may have to see a sleep specialist, but the good news is that most cases like yours are nothing to worry about clinically!
  12. Cancer would have shown in other lab or imaging tests. I wouldn't worry about that. It may be a small stone that will pass. Try to relax as hard as it is . Everything will be ok!
  13. I know this fear all too well. Just remember, normal is normal. It doesn't have much clinical significance if it is on the low or high end of normal. Your doctor is not a dummy! They are required to carry malpractice insurance and would never risk their years of schooling and money they've spent by not spotting something on a routine blood test. Also, the doctor isn't the first one to see your results. The lab tech is who reports the results to the doctor at the lab and if that doctor sees something urgent, he/she would be on the phone with your doctor so fast it wouldn't even be funny! Believe me when I tell you that you're fine and that nothing is wrong. I know it is hard to do that, but try and know that we are all here for you!
  14. A good Psychiatrist Dr. Emmett Miller said, “anxiety is not something that happens to you. Anxiety is the result of what you do with what is happening to you.” You do not have to accept anxiety. I got mad, and had enough. I’ve been in therapy for 2 years and while I’m not 100%, I’m doing much better. Hang in there and get pissed and then into therapy if you’re not already.
  15. Leah, the techs and the Radiologist are the first ones to see your MRI, if they saw anything life threatening, they would have had you on the phone and in there so fast! I am almost certain nothing is wrong at all. I’ve had a CT, MRI and labs and the waiting is the worst, but you can do it. You’re fine!!
