  1. You know how to check several reflexes. You can rattle off the typical symptoms of multiple types of cancer. You get asked by doctors, “oh are you a nurse?” when you meet for the first time because of your vast medical knowledge.
  2. Sorry to have missed this! Please hang around. This place can be very helpful.
  3. I feel you!!! I start with a new counselor tomorrow, Dr appt to discuss meds on Friday, but I have to wait until mid March for my MRI. Ughhh!
  4. I had read that tingling hands and feet is because hyperventilating basically causes your oxygen to go down. Dont overanalyze? Hehe, if only I could turn off the analyzing portion of my brain. I’d probably get a lot more sleep!
  5. Ughhhh. Today has just been a DAY! I took my daughter to a bronchoscope/chest ct and she had to go under anesthesia. I was really calm during all of it. Now that we are home I’m a mess. Tingling hands and feet, occasional leg twitching. I know these can be anxiety symptoms but I don’t feel like I’m hyperventilating. Also, I now have this dull pain under my ear on my jaw, about right where a lymph node would be. It’s not swollen. I’ve now had daily headaches for a week. I’m just beside myself having to wait until March for my MRI.
  6. Ugh, my HA is really bad this afternoon and re-reading this has been a huge help.
  7. Yes! I’d get winded just going up a flight of stairs. Pregnancy yoga helped. And just accepting that it’s normal helped me from worrying too much about it.
  8. I think if they had any acute concerns they wouldn’t have let you wait for your testing. Remember that your ekg looked good.
  9. I had some fears like this when I was pregnant. All of my workups were also normal. It’s getting crowded in there, so of course it’s a little harder to breathe! It doesn’t mean anything is wrong with you, it’s a normal part of pregnancy. Rest assured that your doctor would not take your concerns lightly. You will be okay.
  10. Have you seen your doctor? You also could be low on a vitamin or something very simple. Anxiety can also cause many of these symptoms.

    FLU

My daughter is special needs with chronic lung problems. She had the flu after getting the flu shot. It was primarily high fevers. We kept her well hydrated and she made it through a-okay. I was super scared. We did not do Tamiflu because our doctor told us it’s basically a scam. Just make sure she gets a lot a lot of fluids and bring her to the ER if she is in respiratory distress.
  12. Do you ever feel like you can talk your body into symptoms? I’m currently still terrified I have a brain tumor, and the fear probably won’t subside until my MRI in March. I googled a few months ago and didn’t have many symptoms of a brain tumor. I feel like over time I had added more symptoms to my “list.” This week I started having headaches. I kept reassuring myself because I didn’t have nausea and headaches, now I have both. I swear, I can convince my body to have more symptoms and I hate it.
  13. My sister had meningitis and she was in so much pain that she wasn’t making sense. You have nothing to worry about. Use the shampoo, it will all be okay.
