  1. Yep. Although I have always been a nervous person, my anxiety really skyrocketed after I had my first gallbladder attack. Then after having it removed it went completely out of control. It started with stomach problems related to reflux and IBS which got worse after having my gallbladder removed.
  2. For me it's when I accidentally oversleep. I hate having to rush and get 3 kids up and ready for school and out the door by 7:25am. Then my daycare kids come at 7:40, so there is no down time. That totally ruins my day JOY I hope your day gets better.
  3. The mind is a powerful thing, and I do believe that anxiety can cause other illness. I don't believe it can cause things like diseases, but it can most certainly cause stomach issues, lower your immunity so you seem to catch virus' easier etc..... I know I had a few surgeries when I was younger. I was miserable for about a week before the surgery. My anxiety and nervousness about the surgery presented in "bitchiness" for me. When I look back now I was horrible to my mother, because I took it all out on her. She was a saint through it all though!
  4. Yay!!! good luck to you! I hope it you get it. Try to relax, and not worry about it. Be yourself and be confident. I personally wouldn't tell them about the anxiety, just a I wouldn't tell them I had hemorrhoids
  5. I have a fear of meds, but not of the Dr.s. I always feel better after I talk to the Dr. She is so patient with me and she puts my fears of health anxiety at ease. She understands my problems and is honest with me, but she also listens. I had a Dr. that brushed me off for so long. I never felt like he listened to me. I felt like he was rolling his eye's the mintue I left the room kwim?
  6. Oh I'd have to say pizza. There is nothing more relaxing than Friday night movie night at home with the kids in front of the T.V. with a box of pizza
  7. It really depends on what it triggering the anxiety for me. Normally a phone call to my mom can calm me down and get my mind off things. She definitely has a calming effect on me for some reason. If it's the middle of the night when it happens, I will sometimes crawl into bed with one of my kids and snuggle. I know that sounds weird, but seeing them, hugging them, cuddling with them relaxes me as well. Honestly I try to avoid my husband when I'm feeling like that. He makes it worse. God knows I love him, but he contributes to my anxiety!
  8. Okay so I loved the book. I was skeptical about the movie, because I usually hate movies based on books. I much prefer reading, and I form my own idea's about characters, voices etc.... I actually like the the movie except for one thing.......it make me nauseous! I had such bad motion sickness from the camera angles and the extreme close ups during the running scenes. I normally don't get motion sickness unless it's a 3D movie, I can't watch them. My husband who is very prone to motion sickness wasn't bothered at all by the movie. So weird!
  9. Yes I would look into CBT as well. I've heard people have great success with it. I also take B12, Omega's and a B Stress complex vitamin that has seemed to help as well. I hope you find something that works for you
  10. Do I have to pick just one?????? lol I would say the heart palps. Mainly because it then triggers my heart attack/stoke anxiety. A close second would be the shortness of breath, followed by dizziness/lightheadedness. Anxiety is so much fun isn't it?
  11. My anxiety usually rears it's ugly head at night or wakes me up from sleep. I had it. The warm "magic bags" I posted about helps calm me and get me back to sleep, and if that doesn't work i will sometime's take Benedryl. I know that's not a great answer, but it does help me sleep.
  12. I am currently reading 50 Shades of Gray. It is so not my thing, but once I start a book I have to finish them. I can't not finish a book I need to add more to my requests at the library. I just finished The Dovekeepers by Alice Hoffman - I wasn't a fan of the book.
  13. I don't know why I never watched this show! I have recently started watching and now I'm hooked!!! I love it. I so want Garcia and Morgan to hook up. I only watch the re-runs so I don't know if they do or not. Do they????
  14. My Dr. did to. I just went to see her last week for something that was bothering me. I was convinced once again I had rectal c*****. She asked if I googled and I couldn't lie. Of course I did! Ends up I have hemorrhoids We both had a little giggle and I got the no googling lecture again. I love my new Dr.
  15. I don't know about you guys, but I have banned myself from googling symptoms. I am my own worst enemy when it comes t that. Because of googling I have self diagnosed the following diseases for myself: MS Colon C Ovarian C Thyroid Disease Aneurysm AAA You name it I've probably thought I had it. When i write it down it does seem so comical, but like I've said before, at the time I am seriously convinced I have these things.
