  1. My mom suffers from severe anxiety too so sometimes whenever I'm freaking out she understands. However, sometimes we are freaking out at the same time and that can be a disaster. My husband doesn't really understand it, but he tries to be supportive.
  2. My 6-month-old won't let me spend 20 minutes doing anything! Hahaha. I agree with the message though, time moves way too fast. I've been trying to remind myself lately to take it easy every once in a while and just clear my head.
  3. Wow, what an unpleasant experience. I think that you can conquer your condition, but you never forget that it is there. But you're right, management is the key and the fact that you understand that is great. I'm sure one day these problems will just be a memory for you!
  4. It's kind of weird that I feel the worst anxiety around people that I know. I feel like they are constantly judging me and that I can't measure up to their expectations. I like it when I'm out of town because I feel like I don't have to care what anyone thinks. But, you won't ever catch me in a social gathering with my own friends, no way. I hate even running into anyone I know. I saw an old teacher of mine at walmart a few weeks ago and it ruined my whole day wondering if I was a disappointment.
  5. My husband and I both have social anxiety disorder and it works out pretty well for us! We have no problem staying in and niether of us really have any friends to worry about. I find it funny how we both gravitate to the most secluded corner of any restaraunt. What I don't find funny, however, is that I will be going to college alone soon. I don't even like thinking about it. So, does your significant other have SAD? If not, how does SAD affect yuor relationship?
  6. That's true night time is terrible for anxiety. I really like your idea, warmth is always so calming. I doubt that my baby would ever give me a chance to do this, but I'll probably try it when she's a little older.. I'll definitely need it then!
  7. My anxiety sometimes makes me feel incapable of caring for my daughter. When I am upset she feeds off of my stress and the situation turns into a nightmare. How does anxiety affect your family life?
  8. My family is a big trigger for anxiety. For financial reasons, my husband and I live with my mom and my older brother. We are all strapped for cash. My husband works nights and I work online while taking care of our baby. My brother does not work or take care of his two kids. So my mom, husband, and I are supporting him. I can not stand him eating our groceries but then spending any little bit of money he gets on weed. It makes me sick. My husband can't stand him either and he is a constant source of anxiety for the whole family. My husband and I argue over it all the time because we are too overwhelmed and I have had several panic attacks. I wish we could just move out on our own but it is not an option.
  9. Who watches it? I am hooked! My husband and I are only on season two, but I feel like I could watch it all day! Who else is a Dexter fan, and what other television series are you hooked on?
  10. I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me. I've been suffering from Post Partum Depression for about two months now. I visited my doctor and he put me on the lowest dose of Paxil, one pill knocked me out for two whole days and I was unable to care for my baby. I haven't tried any other medications because I can't afford the negative effects. I can't keep trying medicines that make me unable to care for my child. Medications of any kind always seem to have extreme effects on me. I'm not sure what to do about my anxietry.
