Headache every morning since 2018

Recommended Posts

Almost everyday since 2018 maybe before I get headaches when I wake up they go away sometimes with Motrin. They are all over head I’m worried it’s a brain tumor. I read you could have a brown tumor years and not know it. I have no symptoms but that what do you think

My physician told me that the typical first sign of a brain tumor are seizures. If you had a brain tumor, your symptoms would have worsened by now. Your pain may be muscular, sinus related, neck related, etc. I would consult with a physician.

Have you been to a doctor at all about it? If so, what have they said?

I’ve been to dr since I don’t think I mentioned of more than once she wasn’t concerned

I agree, unlikely a brain tumor. I've also heard that, what MARC said. The reason being that a brain tumor, when it's large enough to cause pain, is definitely large enough that it's almost certainly causing other more telling symptoms of such a tumor.

Sinuses, allergies and tension are all much more likely - and any combination of those three will exacerbate it. Poor sleep habits / quality can contribute to frequent headaches, as can too much caffeine, alcohol, etc.

I'd recommend daily stretching and other exercises. Take it easy at first if you're not used to it, don't overdo it.

It's allergies and sleep position.  Been there and done that.  In fact, July was five years since I had a sinus infection that was so bad, I had a hemorrhage inside my eyeball and was told I would be permanently blind in that eye.  Even a retina specialist couldn't figure it out - it wasn't torn or detached!

It ended up being allergies - a rogue electric air purifier that was making me sick.

I have occasional pains in my back and neck from sleep.  I take an Ibuprofen and work on the muscles.

My friend had daily headaches for months. His doctor couldn't find anything wrong. Eventually, they just went away. He's been fine for years now.

A study in the UK meant for primary care docs found that when a patient complains solely of headache, the incidence of BT is less than 1 in 1,000 patients, and the advice to GPs is no need in headache only patients to scan or refer to specialist.
