Can allergies make you feel sick

So I know I have allergies.  I'm allergic to grass the most.  But can they actually make you feel sick?  I feel so tired and almost like I am coming down with something.  I get body aches and feel cold but I don't have a fever.  Also rainy weather makes me feel the worst.  Does this happen to anyone else?

This year my seasonal allergies decided to add a sore throat to the point I got a covid test. Just allergies. Fun! 😬

I've done that too! It was negative thank goodness.  My biggest feeling is that I feel feverish.  Like I feel achy with chills then I break out in a sweat.  I don't have a fever though.  I do have Claritan but I'm wondering if I should be taking something different.  I have a bad grass allergy.

For me, I felt my normal zyrtec wasn't cutting it anymore.  More allergy symptoms, then turning into more sinus symptoms.  My doctor said it was a good idea to switch up the daily allergy med every few years.  She switched me to Xyzal and I have noticed an improvement in the past few months from that.  I hope I get some good amount of time with this before switching again!

It's possible I have allergies. My doctor suggesting taking flonase on a regular basis.

Hi. All. Allergies occur when the body rejects some form of what it sees as toxic. The symptoms  can vary from cold like to real pain and distress. When younger I had two weeks off work every year with hay fever. It made me that bad. There were no antihistamines then so I just had to suffer. I gradually grew out of it, but it was hell while it lasted. Finding out what you are allergic to is essential before you can tackle the problem. Mine was rye grass, which lasted from the middle of June to the end of July. There are many tests available these days. Just when the good days came and we could get out and enjoy ourselves that happens!!

It is a bit scary with all this virus about, and the symptoms are very similar: allergies can affect the chest as well as the nose and throat they can also make you feel sick and tired.  Rainy weather can make it worse. The allergic substances get in the tiny moisture content in the air and we breath them in in a more concentrated form. 

I do hope it all clears up soon.

Yes allergies make me feel very sick I don't feel like doing any work that day and only sleeping and taking rest. I sneeze a lot and there is lots of itching in my eyes and it becomes watery whenever my allergy is triggered and I am able to see properly because of itching in eyes.

Sometimes when I get a coughing fit, presumably from allergies,  it's accompanied with nausea. Not every time but enough times that I notice. Do you experience that? Does anyone?

this has been an exceptionally bad year for me too with allergies....post nasal drip, sinus congestion & headaches, blocked ear, throat clearing....not sure why it's so bad this year but i've been feeling pretty crappy with it for a few weeks now....dr has me on nasonex spray and singulair pills....they help a little but it's still bad......hope you feel better soon
