Coronavirus. Crippling Anxiety.

Recommended Posts

I haven't heard of those being symptoms, but it never hurts to call your doctor just to be sure. I wish both of you the best.

I'm nervous cause I have been sniffling a bit this morning. I wasn't before. Also my anxiety meds are out and the pharmacy won't deliver them and I'm not willing to go out. So I'm stuck without them.

Is there anyone who can help you out? Iam surprised your drug store won't deliver.

I just had a phone appt. With My Dr. He gave me kolonopin for fast acting and put me back on my lexapro and I have to change up the way I take my buspirone 2 in the morn and 2 at night instead of what I was doing all 4 at night

I think I feel chills, not sure if anxiety can cause that. I checked my temp just a few days ago and haven't gone anywhere since then. 😫

I know I seem to be yapping a lot on this site I hope its not annoying to anyone. I just really need to reach out and be around those who can relate.

So I need advice my adult niece by marriage decided out if boredom to have a cousins only slumber party this weekend at her house. She is the oldest  out of 9 cousins and including my 2  (22 and 16 yrs old) there would have been 7 guests there not including the 4 people who live there. Are me and my hubby wrong to say that our kids can't go? I feel bad being the fun police but I think that's to many people in a regular 3 bedroom row home

I've been worrying myself sick over this, between mucus in the back of my throat constantly and what feels like shortness of breath but isn't according to a doctor and my nurse sister, I've been terrified I might have this. Plus I bough a pulse ox which may have been a bad idea and I keep getting scared its not 98 but 95-97. My nurse sister listened to my chest, she says I sound fine, I have no real fever so she thinks it's just that allergies are really bad right now which could be true. Either way this is ruining my life, I feel tired, I only sleep 4-5 hours maybe before jolting up in the middle of the night and I can't concentrate on anything, I just want this whole thing to end. Won't be that lucky though, even if I don't have it it'll go on long enough that I might get it anyway, I'm just banking on that that I'm young so it hopefully won't be too bad. I'm just scared and nervous, I hate having constant panic attacks.

It’s the worst timing.

The mental healthcare company I work for, Mindbloom, is using legal Psychedelic Therapy to help people with anxiety and depression without leaving their homes during the COVID-19 crisis. It's helped me, and I just thought I should share in case it could help others, too. Here's an article about it in Forbes that talks more about it.

Hugs!!! I feel the same sometimes through out the day..I think we feel that way bec we like to be in control or think we are and this is definitely something we can't control. All we can do is control what we can and that's staying safe and following CDC guidelines. Lean on your sister, believe her when she tells you that you are okay. Big hugs. We will get through this and let's all hope it's over soon.

Thought I'd share something. A friend of mine is from Queens, the epicenter of the virus in the US. She's from there but lives a ways out on Long Island and said her friend had been diagnosed with covid-19 and had been declared recovered. When I asked what the treatment was, she answered rest, lots of fluids and keeping his temperature down. Basically, everything I'm already doing. It made me feel better since this person is around my age.

I know, it only makes things worse. I'm counting on forums such as this one to tell me when there is a breakthrough. I hope my story helped you a bit.

Sending peace and calm to everyone on this  thread.  I also  suffer from  health anxiety and this pandemic has me spiraling. I have  found that staying off social media/away from  COVID related articles/videos really does help. Today however, I went ahead and watched a 34 minute video about it and now I feel pressure in my chest and as if I'm starting to feel  sick. Whats left of my rational brain is trying to tell me, hey, you freaked yourself out with that video but as you can imagine, my  anxiety overpowers all. This is a nightmare and there are days, like today,  that I feel like such a loser for not being  able to deal. My husband and I are doing all the  recommended things to avoid this, primarily staying home. We only  go out for groceries and even then we wear a  mask and gloves.  Unfortunately, my mother  lives with us and continues to go out for hours at at time, it feels like we're fighting a battle we're going to lose  because of her. I'm all for a mandatory lockdown to be honest lol There are so many people  still out and about! I know right now the focus is on scaring  the shit out of people so that they  can stay home  but it would be nice to also  hear about the people who have managed to recover. Im all  over the place. Thank you to anyone who took the time to read.
