Mel1981 11 Posted March 5, 2021 Hey all, I'm struggling so much with my anxiety and depression right now. I wake up and just dread the day. First I was obsessed with bowel movements but then moved on to urine. I see little white specks when I go. My doctor didn't seem concerned but did a urine test with microscopic and all was normal. My brother went into a jar twice and said he has the same thing. Almost looks like dandruff. My doctor wants to do a gonorrhea and chlamydia test but my wife and I met when we were pretty young and haven't been with anyone else. These flakes seem to be normal but I just can't seem to let things go. I know it's an issue with my anxiety and not physical. I called a counselor and hope to start that next week. MARC 431 Posted March 5, 2021 Sorry to hear you are feeling badly. I have at times felt pretty bad myself. What has helped me is to keep busy and keep my mind occupied. I have had actual health issues in the past which did not help matters.

I had some people in my men's group mention they had to deal with kidney stones. We all have to wee, so I would wonder if there is a natural flushing of the kidneys. Everybody wees; everybody's kidneys clean. I can't believe your doctor wants to test you for "The Clap" and "The Clam" - I haven't been active either, but I looked up the slang terms lol. I had a UTI that the doc thought was worthy of a test. I hadn't done anything, but I had the painful urination and clear discharge (and odor). They would have told me if it was an STI; the doc didn't say anything - he gave me antibiotics. That doesn't sound anywhere near what you have, though.

Mel1981 11 Posted March 15, 2021 Thanks everyone. I think I'm going to try getting a medical card and try some THC and CBD oil.

Mel1981 11 Posted March 17, 2021 Ugh. I went to the restroom a bit ago and had a movement. It seemed to be have two different colors on all of the pieces. Like almost a reddish hue and then brown. Now I'm just spiraling again. My wife said I just need to flush and go but I just can't seem to do that. Does anyone else ever look and notice anything like that? I've had a lot of chocolate cake the last couple of days and had some fried rice yesterday that had siracha sauce in it.
MARC 431 Posted March 18, 2021 I look myself sometimes. My stools have been different colors on many occasions and I have had colonoscopys with no serious issues noted. My GI physician told me it is normal.

Does that include some that might have had a reddish hue?
MARC 431 Posted March 20, 2021 MY stools have had a reddish hue if I ate something red and have had a greenish hue sometimes if I ate something green. Many years ago when I was 25, I went to the bathroom and when I wiped, the whole tissue was covered with red blood and the toilet bowl water was all red. I had an immediate meltdown and had myself dead and buried. It turned out to be just a very large hemorrhoid.

MotherOfMaya 18 Posted March 25, 2021 Maybe I am thick but what is the worry with different colored BMs? We eat food and drink liquids throughout the day and they pass through our intestines at different times and then gather at the end waiting to be expelled...so you would think things would vary. This common sense is rich coming from someone who has definitely analyzed BMs before, haha, but the different colors does not worry me at all (our minds are interesting, aren't they?) I have a chronic anal fissure so I do not worry AT ALL about blood on my stool or toilet paper anymore, but I definitely have in the past. If you have had testing by your doctor and have had nothing found you really do need to try and believe them but I know from experience how hard that is! Are there any specific coping skills that you use to get your mind off of these things?

Yeah I had a CT scan about 11 months ago and they said bowels, colon and everything looked good. I think those cancers can take years to develop so I shouldn't be worrying so much.
