William 4 Posted December 26, 2020 I can't handle it, I don't have any real pain but the nerves in my body keeps making me feel cold all over and it feels like water running down my legs sometimes and i'm more forgetful now. I feel i'm gonna get parazlyed from this before I can get to the pain specialist I need because I don't have insurance. I thought at one point I was getting better but then last night I turned my head and things just seem to have gotten worse. On one hand i'm glad I know the issue but on the other it just makes me fear I can't heal from this, its already been almost 4 months and now my anxiety is flairing up with this 😞
SighNoMore 63 Posted December 29, 2020 I’m so sorry William. How are you holding up? I sure hope you get some relief.
William 4 Posted December 31, 2020 I'm holding up, its just the anxiety that comes along with it. I want to google systems but I already know what this is capable of. If I just knew weather or not this would paralyze me or not I would be fine. But this cold feeling and the fear of the unknown is making me feel bad. I'm just scared something is gonna happen before I can see the specialist they scheduled for me.
MARC 431 Posted January 1, 2021 Many years ago when I was 20 years old, I fell and my back began to hurt when I bent over. I called my doctor and he said for me to go to the ER. I went to the ER and they x-rayed my back. I was sitting there waiting in a room, when all of a sudden, a few came in asking me if I felt OK, if I could go to the bathroom, etc. I began to panic and I asked what is wrong and they said I had a compression fracture of the T-10 vertebrae and they were admitting me right away and they kept me in the hospital for 6 days for observation. Eventually an orthopedic surgeon came in and fitted me with a back brace which I had to wear for a couple of months or so. I remember going to see him and he x-rayed my back and then hit my back and said I was healed and that I should have no more problems the rest of my life and so far so good. Even today, when I get an x-ray the radiologists report still says moderate compression fracture of the T-10 vertebrae, healed.
Ironman 198 Posted January 2, 2021 The thing to do is get informed about your situation. The more information you have the more confident you will be. You would be confronting your fear of the unknown. It's also about separating what you can control versus what you can't. The latter is where the doctor step in, so to speak. BrightPhoenix 78 Posted January 7, 2021 From what I googled about this, it looks like they CAN heal over time, you just have to follow the treatment plan your doctors have for you. So have faith, you'll only get better in the long run!
