Mel1981 11 Posted May 9, 2020 39 male and had severe back pain twice over a few weeks and then a little blood when urinating. Went to the ER and they did urinalysis which showed the blood, blood work which all came normal and a good ct scan. A couple of days later my PCP said I have a mild stone in my left kidney that was probably the reason for the blood and some constipation which the stone, probably contributed to the back pain. I'm just having a hard time getting through this and trusting more than one doctor that said nothing is wrong. I'm also over analyzing my urine every time I go to the bathroom. MARC 431 Posted May 10, 2020 The. CT scan would have picked up any abnormalities so you are now in good shape.

Bobnnat 496 Posted May 11, 2020 Totally agree. Kidney stones are the main reason for blood in urine, and the back pain matches as well. Those of us with HA suffer from a problem trusting medical professionals. It's our downfall (one of them).

The ER doc didn't mention the tiny stone that evening at the ER but I think he was more concerned with my mental state as I was freaked out it was something else. My PCP went over the report with me a couple of days later and made me aware of the stone.
Ihadcancer 321 Posted May 24, 2020 I was told when going for a urine test to avoid sex or for women, vaginal exams, for at least 24 hours prior. Riding a bike or working out at the gym was also a no no. Aspirin use causes blood in urine in a large number percentage of people. If I take it a few times a day for several day, I have pink urine. A teeny tiny kidney stone can cause horrible pain as it moves. It's a crystal (rock) and usually not smooth but jagged and sharp. It cuts and scrapes as it makes its way out. Hubby has have them several times.
