cutecat25 14 Posted October 23, 2018 I’ve had two ultrasounds and a full blood work up and everything came back normal. They even said in the second ultrasound it had gone down a little bit. I’m terrified to get a biopsy, but i’m also terrified just to leave it. Has anyone else had one that lasted a long time, but it ended up being nothing? bin_tenn 1252 Posted October 23, 2018 That happens to a lot of people. There's nothing wrong with lymph nodes occasionally swelling, even if it's for a seemingly long time. If lymph nodes didn't swell, you'd be sick a lot more often, because their job is to "eat" foreign Invaders (e.g. viruses, bacteria, etc).
sTeaLth 237 Posted October 23, 2018 I remember a few years back having one swollen. Once I noticed it, it did scare me a bit but I tried to ignore it. A few weeks later I remembered and felt around that area, it was gone. I had forgotten to remember. Keep an eye on it but not so close that it scares you! Give yourself a time table, like a month or two. If there is no change or it worsens then get it checked out. Very common though and especially in this season of colds going around. lofwyr 215 Posted October 23, 2018 My son had some that were swollen not for months but for four years. No big deal at all.

Also some smaller neck ones that have been palpable for years, and one on my groin that's been palpable for at least 5 years.
