AbeLinkedIn 41 Posted April 27, 2017 So it's been three days since those holes appeared on my leg and while it's not as swollen as it was then, I'm still frightened by them. I've done neosporin, hot compresses, and while I think they're getting back to normal, the irrational part of me is screaming "THERE ARE HOLES IN YOUR SKIN!" Like the title mentioned, the ride never ends. Part of me thought I had a parasite inside of me that burrowed into my skin. Farfetched, but my mind is trying to find some logical reason I have holes in my skin.

I sat down last night and made a journal of what's been going on then on one paper lumped all my symptoms together and I could finally see how irrational my thinking has been. I'm still anxious today.. that what if is creeping back in but I'm looking at my journal telling it nope. Also.. have you ever written down ever thing you thoughtyou had? My list goes so far back.. tons of cancer.. aids... Deadly spider bites, sepsis... It just goes in and on.. I saw the pic you posted the other day.. if it were a deadly spider bite you would know by now.. it's been three days.. that's not that long especially if it is an infected follicle. You have to give it some time to heal. I understand, boy do I that you are worried but if the people in the forum were worried we would tell you. We don't want you to be sick. AbeLinkedIn 41 Posted April 27, 2017 I meant to include an up to date photo in this post but I never got around to it. Here's the most recent: I know it's not a bite as I originally thought, but I never had something like that happen to me, and I'm all too familiar with bumps and lumps and such. philb 92 Posted April 27, 2017 Sometimes when my anxiety peaks, I notice I have very very sensitive skin, sometimes it feels like a sunburn on my body or I will get odd rashes. When I calm down about it, the symptoms subside. Are you able to go see a doctor and have them check it out? I had a small rash about 6-7 months ago and a doctor gave me steroid cream and it went away in 2 days.

Why are you sure it's not a bite? Looks like one to me.
AbeLinkedIn 41 Posted April 27, 2017 I've been scratching at it, that's why it looks like that. And I don't think it's a bite since if it was, I'd be in worse condition.

I have no time to with finals coming up and all and I'm the type of HA sufferer who avoids the doctor rather than go all the time.

You wouldn't necessarily be "in worse condition." What does that even mean? Anything could have bitten you. A bite does not mean gravely ill or serious. I think it looks like some kind of bite as well.
AbeLinkedIn 41 Posted April 27, 2017 But what could it be though? It happened in the middle of the night and before then I was normal and I didn't feel anything. It's not a scorpion or a brown recluse thank God, but if it were a bite I'd have more tell-tale signs wouldn't I? So far that mark's the only symptom. Also I had a relapse and started panicking, scratching at it and putting neosporin on it. I know, not good, but considering I had a stressful day and my irrational mind going "YOU HAVE HOLES IN YOUR SKIN" I don't know. Also here's a pic in relation to my finger: I tried playing it cool and I know it's only been a few days and I'm asymptomatic but I'm freaking out here. bin_tenn 1252 Posted April 28, 2017 Yep, could still be a bite. Again, a bite doesn't necessarily mean bad, nor does it mean symptoms beyond an obvious bite mark(s).
AbeLinkedIn 41 Posted April 28, 2017 I guess you're right. It seems to be healing, even if it's still sore. I'm not going to poke, prod, and scratch at it and let things happen. It's just a little sore, it's been a full work week, and there's been no other symptoms. I'll be alright.
