Mamaisanxious3 17 Posted January 26, 2021 Also, could a lymph node just be visible but not “swollen”?

ZenCube 59 Posted January 26, 2021 Lymph nodes on the groin area are known to be palpable even in perfectly healthy individuals. Visible, I'm not aware of. What do you mean by visible? Do they protrude? Are they visually a match with the ones of the opposite side? Is there a tenderness to them? Are they hot at the touch? Inguinal lymph nodes drain the territories of legs, abdominal wall, pelvis and genitals. Enlarged nodes are most likely a sign of infection and, if actually enlarged, deserve to be checked by a physician, not for malignancies, but just to be sure there is no bacterial activity going on in the drainage territories. Don't worry for a bit but in doubt get a GP appointment to sort it out.
Mamaisanxious3 17 Posted January 26, 2021 Zencube. Thank you so much. They don’t hurt and I just mean that I can see them when I stand and look In the mirror just on one side. I had a horrible pregnancy with a vascular Adema issue in that area so it could be caused from that trauma. I’ve been on a horrible kick regarding all over body muscle twitches(7 months) and thought maybe even the stress from That could be causing the enlarged nodes. I feel like you have a lot of wise words, I appreciate them 🥰
Bobnnat 496 Posted January 27, 2021 I had a lymphoma fear a few months back. My doctor reminded me that I had blood work 5 months prior that was fine. She said frequently the first signs of anything sinister like that show up in the CBC, which is the basic blood work that gets done. After all, lymphoma and the like are blood cancers.

I feel like you have a lot of wise words, I appreciate them 🥰 You're most welcome. Now, regarding these nodes, I wouldn't suggest they could be the result of stress (which the twitching, on the other hand, is a very well documented manifestation of), unless you're talking about local tissue stress from the pregnancy and related edema. My suggestion is you bring that enlarged nodes issue to your physician as to have it assessed under the light of an actual physical exam. Enlarged nodes when they're not painful and aren't the result of a concomitant running infection, most of the time stand as sequelae of ancient infections. It is very common with submaxilary lymphnodes having reacted to an ENT infection and having subsequently consolidated into palpable yet non-inflammatory nodes that are to stay palpable for a lifetime. Same could be said about inguinal nodes. In any case I would suggest you have them checked 🙂
