Not again - Freaking out - please Help!

Recommended Posts

Right so this is weird.
So I have this striking pain that lasts about a second happening every 5-10 seconds it feels like electric shocks/throbbing and gripping pain that actually makes me cringe when it strikes. I have felt the area and its not sore to the touch.
The pain was behind my ear so where the top tip of the ear is its in my head in that area, its now at the back

Im freaking out as thinking its a stroke or blood clot!!  or even a tumour.

I went to see my GP and she said it sounds like neuralgia BUT I want a head MRI now as I am sure I have something sinister going on

Yes.  I’ve had many head twinges, shocks, and pains.  Sometimes they are termed “ice-pick” headaches.  They will be localized and superficial, as in on the scalp or very shallow but painful.  But, I do have several neuralgias:  occipital and supraorbital. I attribute them to stress and tension and poor neck posture.  Of course anytime it’s head pain, I always think it’s something bad. Most of the time I stay calm, but sometimes it’s quite upsetting.

My physician told me that tension in your back, shoulders and neck from stress, soreness, etc., can cause odd sensations in your head, such as pain, tingling, crawling feelings, etc.

This happens to me sometimes when I get very upset, tension headaches are not fun at all.
