Thanks @adamden! I think I’m just being impatient. A week course of antibiotics and I’m wondering why they’re not working after 1 day. hopefully I’ll wake up tomorrow feeling somewhat better. I’ll have a look for your post and have a read thanks!

Hey all! Me again. It’s been a while. I'm starting to worry myself that my tonsillitis is turning into Sepsis. And obviously Sepsis = death. it started last week as a bad cold. And turned into tonsillitis Tuesday. With Fever, chills, body aches, headaches etc. I went to he doctor yesterday who gave me some antibiotics and said it should start clearing up in 1-2 days. I’m 1.5 days into them and although I guess I do “feel” a little better. My tonsils are still just as swollen and covered in white spots. so now I’m worrying that they’re not working, and that instead it’s going to go the other way. If a cold turned into tonsillitis, the tonsillitis is going to turn into Sepsis right?

I naively thought it would be relatively simple, sit down, tooth out, go home and all is well. I wasn’t expecting days/weeks/months of recovery 😅

Also, the feature of DVT isn’t really that it moves around, it would be one place that gets progressively more painful, swollen, red and very hot.

Thanks @sTeaLth! I gave them a call, instructions to bite down on some gauze for 30 minutes, if it still hasn’t stopped then go to the hospital to have it checked out. Its not too bad, it seems just if I open my mouth too wide or anything that disturbs it. Just need to stay super still and keep my mouth shut 😅

Hi all! It's been a while, it's been a pretty good year here. But on Wednesday I had an impacted wisdom tooth taken out, all went well, lots of pain over the past couple of days as to be expected, but today I bent down too far, felt the clot get disturbed and now it's bleeding again. Is it supposed to bleed 2 days later? I feel like thats not a good sign and now it's going to get infected. Thanks all!

I think almost certainly have nothing to worry about. If it was that fast growing and aggressive you’d be having more symptoms than just feeling dizzy. Fast growing aggressive cancers give the worst symptoms, as far as I’m aware. Take a look at the symptoms here: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/malignant-brain-tumour/ Dizziness isn’t even on the list.

Thanks @Holls! I was doing the same, writing down all his feeds, times and amounts for the first week, mainly because the midwifes were worried he wasn’t feeding enough at first (which was great for my anxiety! ?). But I’ve managed to stop that. im tempted to get one of those breathing monitors for while he’s sleeping, to try releive my worry and let me get some sleep. But some people say they make anxiety worse.

It’s also worth remembering, if there were signs of a serious disease/cancer, the instructions wouldn’t just be to change supplements. They would be calling you straight back in for follow ups and treatment options. try not to panic

Haha thanks @NervUs! Although, I don’t want to wish the time away, but I can’t wait until he’s 6-months/1-year old. So many things become less of a risk as he grows. Yeah, he’s our first. People say the first is always the one you worry about too. No one tells you just quite how difficult these first few days/weeks are.

Hey All! Hope everyone is doing well, it’s been a while since I’ve been here, I’ve been doing pretty well, and still am with my own issues. But now I have a newborn baby to contend with! (Some may remember I posted a few times throughout the pregnancy). its been great for me, I’ve hardly worried about myself since he’s arrived. But it’s a whole new world of worry when there’s a tiny human to look after! I’m just watching him at night instead of getting the sleep I need, just to make sure he’s still breathing. Constantly taking his temperature, worrying that he’s not feeding properly, or that something is wrong that I haven’t spotted. No real question or comments to make here, just thought I’d update everyone ?
