Matt32790 10 Posted July 9, 2017 Hello everyone, over the last year or so I have had various ailments, sore testicle (thought it was cancer, had an examination was told all is fine, pain stopped!) then I had some stomach issues, (thought it was cancer, had blood test ended up being ibs, I can cope with this now) lastly over the last week I have been experiencing some aches in my arms (think it's MS or MD, went to the doctor a week ago she thinks is all anxiety gave me citalopram and signed me off for a few days! The arms have felt ok on and off they tend to be worse when I am anxious, had some joy easing the feeling with some deep heat rub, this makes me believe it could be anxiety! However deep down I still have a constant fear I am dying, I have a fantastic wife and two fantastic children, the thought of me dying and leaving them behind is destroying me! Definitely sounds like anxiety and anxious thoughts. When my anxiety is high I get jelly/weak arms and legs cramps.. when I'm calm my symptoms go away when I'm anxious they come back. Enjoy your babies and wife.. the thoughts you are having are only thoughts.. they aren't real. Trust your Dr.

I meditate for ten min in the morning.. and when my thoughts start turning to my fears I have to remind myself .. these are only thoughts.. they aren't real and I try to bring my thoughts to the present..I have to redirect my thoughts like this A LOT!!!! But it helps. My thoughts can run so wild that before I know it I'm terrified I have a horrible illness. A great man on the forum put it so simply... Health anxiety is a thinking disorder. And boy is it.. Work sometimes made me anxious but it will probably help to keep your mind busy. I quit and stay home with the little ones.. I have way too much thinking time lol. I started painting projects and it has helped. Let me know how work goes for you tomorrow, I bet you have a great Monday. You got this, you are stronger than your thoughts. Matt32790 10 Posted July 10, 2017 I got through it, but now my arms/shoulders ache a lot hopefully it's because I've had a day at work sat at a desk typing all day! Didn't feel too stressed all day, so little concerned what I am starting to feel anxious about the aches now I am home! ?

I used to work as a book keeper and by the end of the day my arms and shoulders and lower back would ache like crazy. I drove a good two hours today to visit my mom and my shoulders hurt from the drive. It's absolutely normal.. go ahead and tell your thoughts they aren't real.. it's nothing bad it's normal every day body aches. Take a min to do some deep breaths and Pat yourself on the back for a great day!!!!!!!!

I was really happy and no aches pains When my anxiety was high I would wake up so nervous.. i would have to walk around the house to calm down. That is definitely just your anxiety. That will get better when your mind calms. I would wake up and start focusing on my symptoms right away. One day I told my mind NO!!! Not today and every day the symptoms started fading. Really remember what mark said on the forum.. anxiety is a thinking disorder.. If you stop thinking about your symptoms and bring yourselves in the present the anxiety doesn't get fed. It's a moment to moment day to day process. It works ! Work is going to help keep your mind busy. You are going to have a great day again.
Matt32790 10 Posted July 11, 2017 So far so good! Much the same as yesterday no tears few negative throughts but nothing major! Read on another thread about MS and ALS and the weak arm feeling, if I did have one of these my arms wouldn't just feel week they would be weak, I can still do and lift everything I have needed too! Plus the symptoms and nearly non existent when I'm calm, this has improved my mood for sure! ?

Mark G 1187 Posted August 14, 2017 That's exactly the side effects I had. Tremor and vivid dreams. Don't worry it's just part of the medication, nothing more.
