Heart issues

Recommended Posts

Since yesterday evening ive had left arm pain. This morning, and throughout the day ive had these bodily aches, but the left arm pain, along with jaw psi t and chest pain kept coming and going. I'm really scared and confused since I was told by cardiologists that my heart was fine. I don't know why I'm getting these symptoms all of a sudden

Pulled muscle(s), perhaps. If a cardiologist has cleared you after your reported these symptoms to him/her, I think it's quite safe to say you're okay. If these symptoms are new for you, give the cardiologist a call if you really think you need to. Otherwise, just take it easy, relax, take some deep breaths.

@bin_tenn that might be the case, but it's strange how I'm suddenly getting these cardiac symptoms all of a sudden. Plus, I was told about my heart's health in January, though my personal habits and diet haven't changed much.

Like I said, consult with the cardiologist if you're truly concerned. He/she will be able to advise further as necessary. If it gets worse and you feel like you're in danger, go to the ER.

Bin is correct, if these symptoms are new to you or you feel you are in danger then take action.  Did the Cardiologist do tests?  If they did tests and cleared you in January, you shouldn't be worrying about your heart.  Easier said then done I know.

I had all the tests done a little over a year ago and besides a minor dilation of the LV with normal function, all my tests were clear.  Have seen the Cardiologist twice since then for follow ups, she is happy with my BP, pulse, and EKGs.  Blood work is all in normal range but creeping towards out of normal range.  Next follow up is in July with another Echo.  Have lost some weight and have better control of BP so actuallly hoping for the LV to be the same at worst or less dilated.  Even hoping to kee losing weight and get it back to normal.

With all that said, I'm in minor panic mode as I type this.  I have arm pain and chest pain tonight and generally don't feel well.  All the pain can be reproduced by touch, and I know I'm tense lately which is most likely causing the pain in arms and shoulders.  In short, I have no logical reason to think it's heart.  Arteries are clear, calcium score of zero, and heart failure doesn't progress that quick, from where I was a year ago.  But here I am rubbing my chest, took a Xanax, and trying to calm myself down to no avail.  Trying to remind myself of the logic while resisting the urge to go get checked out in a ER tonight.

God anxiety is tiring!  Best wishes

Reproduced by touch is a good sign.  That said, a trip to the ER or family doc involves a 10 minute EKG. I have done it twice only to be told I was fine.  But I always feel better safe than sorry.
