The Supermarket

At the supermarket today, I felt as if I was going to pass out. Everything seemed unreal. On top of that, my thoughts about me getting older, the future, death, etc, made it impossible to focus on a simple thing like shopping. I saw one of my high school teachers and it scared me so much that so much time has passed. I wanted to run and scream but I finished my shopping. I don't know how one can accept such feelings and not be terrified.

This happened to me many years ago and I left my grocery cart in the star and drove home.  We just came from a boring program and I felt like I wanted to run out.  It's been a terrible anxious day for me, three days really.  I'm feeling like I can't take it anymore.  I think about death too but then I'm going to be 74 in March.  My family lives into their 90's and I sure don't want to feel like this if I get that old. I feel like crying right now, signing off for now.

I have feelings that everything seems unreal and I also spend way too much time thinking about aging and death. I just turned 40 a few days ago and it hit me hard. I guess we need to stop thinking about death so much and accept that aging is good thing.

Me too but it's not easy and it's scary and frustrating too.
