walkingwithGod 169 Posted September 26, 2016 I havent been on in a long time. Things have been good for the most part. Then about 3 weeks ago, I felt all this tension and tightness in my neck, shoulders and chest and it has just spiraled from there. Alot of mornings, I wake up before my alarm in almost panic mode, excited feeling on inside, racing heart, chest pains ..all the usual stuff! Of course, my mind goes back to the fear of having heart issues and how I havent had any tests in a year to prove otherwise... this just stinks ... its normal with anxiety to have the racing heart, chest pains, sometimes it feels localized to like one spot on my left breast, it last like a couple seconds and goes away...guess i need reassurance that its the anxiety rearing its head again...anyone? I need the reassurance really bad today! Thanks! Wendi
jonathan123 2367 Posted September 26, 2016 Hi Wendi. Gosh, I wondered where you had go to. Now come on, you know better than that! Has something happened that has 'triggered' this off? guess i need reassurance that its the anxiety rearing its head again...anyone? I need the reassurance really bad today! Thanks! Well It is. OK? In the past you have had tests and always you were OK. Why would this be any different. When you look at your symptoms they are classic, aren't they? Now because you're working yourself up they are getting worse and you know why, don't you? I know, I know, I have just been through a setback myself and I know how difficult it is to allow reason to enter the picture. But it always passes and so will this IF you give it time. Whatever triggered this off may need looking at, but if you can't see an obvious reason don't go looking for one. Waste of time. Don't let it begin to spoil your life again. YOU are in charge not 'IT'.
walkingwithGod 169 Posted September 26, 2016 Hey Jon! Yes, I know you are right and by the time I got ready for work and got to work, I had calmed down a lot, but I had also taken my medication. I guess if it were something else, then anxiety medication wouldn't help it right? lol Set backs stink. I have had them before but they usually would only last a day or two but this one has been going on for several weeks and seems to have gotten worse instead of better. My husband is going with me to see a chiropractor this week about my neck and shoulder and stuff. Everyone says it's probably from sitting at my computer all day has finally caught up with me as sometimes even my arms will hurt from my elbows down to my hands so now I am thinking it's a nerve thing. Anyway, thank you for replying... you usually know what to say to help me see reason... I guess sometimes we just need to hear it from someone else who understands and has been there! jonathan123 2367 Posted September 26, 2016 Yes Wendi, NOW you are beginning to think logically. I guess if it were something else, then anxiety medication wouldn't help it right? lol Absolutely right. We don't often realise how our muscles and bones play a big part in causing symptoms when overworked. A good Chiropractor or Osteopath can often work wonders. The Osteopath's motto, " Structure governs function" is so true. If our body is in good shape it can influence our attitude; how we feel and behave. Exercise can often relieve so much tension and anxiety is, after all, tension. But mental exercise is necessary too. The right attitude to the problem. You will be fine, as you always were. Stick with it, it does pass.
CaseyTally 11 Posted September 26, 2016 Wendi I'm going through the same thing right now. About a "set back". My anxiety isn't health anxiety but I can relate. I wasn't on here for a few weeks either. And then BAM it comes back. You're not alone!
