some tips or challenges for 2016

"For many, it’s the reminder of what’s important in life—not what we do, what we earn, or what we buy, but how we treat each other, how we help each other, and how we use our gifts to make the world a better place".

Thanks Amber. And there you have it in a nutshell. A most profound statement if ever there was one. We need to love each other. No matter how bad we think someone is we have to love them. Not the deed but the person. No one is beyond redemption.

In the parable of the woman caught in adultery, for which, in those days, the punishment was to be stoned to death, the crowd had gathered ready to do the stoning. Jesus came and suggested that anyone without sin in the crowd should cast the first stone. They looked at each other, dropped he stones and walked away. He said "And neither do I condemn thee, go thy way and sin no more". Don't do it again! We have to learn by our mistakes or we are lost. We all have things of which we are not proud, and that we should not have done or said. We are human and it will happen, but to flog ourselves in remorse or guilt does not help one bit. We have to let it go, learn and move on. 'Sin no more'.        Jon.
