Dr. Who

Anyone here who watches the show Dr. Who? Who is your favorite doctor? I think by far, this is my favorite British TV series. I have always wanted to own a time machine and I do want to own that Tardis!

mmm Tardis taffy. I just got into Dr. Who at the end of last year, and started from the 2010 season (with Matt Smith). I was pretty impressed, and proceeded to watch the rest of that and the 2011 season. I really do think its one of the best shows on TV.

Just out of curiousity I went back to watch the previous seasons (the last 2 doctors), and unfortuantely didn't find them as well written and produced as it has been the last 2 years, with the exception of the the Steven Moffat episodes. (I'm now a huge fan of his also!)

I like Dr Who but I think its pretty damn lame really. Tennent made it bearable. Dr Who has always been cheap and tacky, I'm just disappointed because it can be so much more. Russell T Dickhead has a lot to answer for, turning into a damn soap opera, and the DR getting off with his assistant, wrong, just wrong. Had high hopes for Moffat but he has let me down. I don't usually moan about a show I actually like, I just don't love it and we usually find ourselves picking at plot holes and lazy writing instead of just enjoying the episode.

My husband said that he used to like the show and I never really thought much of it until but I'm started to get a little interested. I'm thinking I may watch it. It's been in my Netflix queue for over a year now!

I started watching it sometime last year, I think. I'm a huge fan. I believe that the series that began in 2005 started off incredibly cheesy and cheap looking, but the second season made up for it and then some. David Tennant will always be my favorite doctor, but I do like Matt Smith quite a bit. David was really energetic and always springing into action while Matt is a bit more thoughtful and careful. The end result is basically the same, but I enjoy how each doctor has a little bit of a different personality. I can't wait for it to return.

I love Doctor Who. I started watching the old episodes on PBS when I was a kid. They started at the very beginning with William Hartnell and aired on and off the various other doctors throughout the years. They finally stopped showing Doctor Who on PBS about the time it premiered on BBC America. The last doctor featured on the PBS airings was Christopher Eccleston (9th Doctor). I loved David Tennant as the Doctor. I am really enjoying Matt Smith though. I didn't think I would. i'm so excited for it too return, I wish it was time already. I'll be sad when Karen and Arthur leave before Christmas though. It'll be interesting to see how the new companion is with the Doctor and the chemistry between them (if any). I'm also highly excited for Karen's final episode since it has to do with the Weeping Angels, which are some of my favorites.

David Tennant is definitely the best doctor for me as well! I love the Water For Mars episode. I have always admire the writings of this show!!

I enjoy it. I didn't start watching until a couple years ago and I went back through to watch a bunch of the old ones, start from the beginning of the new ones, and get caught up. I'm not obsessed like a lot of Doctor Who fans are, though. I have a friend who eats, sleeps, breathes Doctor Who, it seems, which is just far too much for me personally, but works for her.
