Lauraatkinson 4 Posted September 3, 2015 (edited) So for a very long time I have had trouble with the side of my left leg, had lots of Physio on it to which the Physio said because it's my "short" leg my pelvis (if that's right) is tilted so the pain will be there (not sure how true that fact is). Anyway I am a toucher! If I touch the bone it hurts...if I don't it doesn't and I don't notice much but abit of occasional leg ache as I stand and bend all the time in my job so that's to be expected. I've been to the doctors a couple of times the past two weeks and can't bare to go again.convinced it's bone c****r and I just don't know what to do with myself. walkingwithGod 169 Posted September 3, 2015 Hey there. Just take a breath, its not bone c****r, its just the anxiety playing tricks on you. You would have many more symptoms if it were c****r ... keep yourself busy with positive things.. you said yourself if you didnt think about it you didnt even notice it hurting.. anxiety is a cycle..fear-anxiety-more fear- more anxiety and so the cycle goes on until we are able to break it.You are gonna be ok and we are here for you. Try to redirect your thoughts and dont give anxiety more energy than it already has taken from you ..:)Wendi
Lauraatkinson 4 Posted September 3, 2015 Thank you so much for your reply Wendi. I keep trying to tell myself that over and over that I would have more symptoms. It's only painful through touch. I need to stop touching and maybe start cleaning that will take my mind off it.Thanks for your reply x

Mark G 1186 Posted September 3, 2015 Hi Laura,I think part of the issue has been answered by yourself in the question "I stand and bend all the time in my job so that's to be expected" This is what is probably causing these pains alongside your introspective gazing at the leg/hip. The more you gaze, the more sensitized you make the area, the more your nerve endings fire off, amplified by your fear of the symptoms. HA is terrible like this, it feeds on your fear and amplifies it to such a degree, you think it simply cannot be anxiety, 'how can anxiety make me feel like this' It can and it will, if you buy into it's lies that is. Your anxiety wants you to believe that it's c****r, of course it does. The trick is the let these thoughts come but DONT buy into them. Don't attach sentiment or any emotion to them. The longer you do this, the less grip anxiety has on you and the stronger you feel. Those pains will not be as bad as your mind is telling you.

Lauraatkinson 4 Posted September 3, 2015 Thanks so much for replying Mark. If it was bone c****r I would surely be able to feel the pain workout touching it?why is HA so vicious! I wish I could be rid of it and be normal so badly. I am terrified to get bone c****r and I don't know why I don't know where the link is from thank you for the reply though it has helped greatly. Mark G 1186 Posted September 3, 2015 You would feel it constantly Laura and you would have a bunch of other symptoms, deferred pain, other pains etc. Its not c****r, it's the trick of a tired mind. With HA you cannot force it to go, you cannot fight it as you will never win, fighting it would feed it. Instead do the opposite of what you think you should do. You do NOTHING, absolutely nothing. Drop the guard, let panic come whenever it wants, loose your fear of it. That is the key to putting anxiety in it's place, back to where it should be in your mind, behind the scenes and not in the forefront. Being terrified of a possibility is draining and it is using anxieties old trick, the "what if" phrase. A very powerful phrase anxiety uses to weaken you and feed IT. By removing this irrational fear, you weaken anxiety tremendously. Rest assured, you do not have c****r, you have anxiety
