Lillith 0 Posted November 11, 2014 Hi, I'm new here as for today. A friend of mine recommended me this forum, she said I was gonna find what I need. I'm 19 years old and I suffer from depression, DID (dissociative identity disorder), self harm and anorexia nervosa. (Got a hell of a sad story). Right now I'm deep into a face of depression and didn't notice until a friend pointed out. I think I'm here because I might be understood? I don't know, but I might as well try

jonathan123 2368 Posted November 11, 2014 Hi Lillith. A warm welcome to AC. Oh yes, we have been there, all of us. Perhaps not having all you have but the varieties of anxiety are manifold and if its not one thing its another! You are understood and we hope we can help with some useful advice. Look up the info on the site and under RESOURCES. You may find something that will help. Are you having any counselling or medication? Both can help a lot. At your age, given the right guidance and therapy, you can recover to lead a normal life. How good that sounds. It is possible so don't despair. Nice to have you with us. Jon. Bterflymom 155 Posted November 11, 2014 I'm 71 and suffering from anxiety and until my anti depressant was raised I also had depression. You are so young and I am sorry you are having such problems as this young age. The good news is that you have plenty of time to get the help you need and recover and have a long happy life. I too have a sad story but this reply is for you and while I would imagine many of us have sad stories. When my niece was a young woman in her late teens she also was into cutting herself. She got counseling and eventuallay stopped. She is now married, has a masters degree in speech pathology and has one 11 year old child. At the time of her cutting she was overweight and punished herself for eating too much by cutting. I hope you are getting some therapy and stay on board here too. You're far from alone, we are all suffering and trying to get better by helping each other and learning tools to help us. Personally I listen to calming CD's and read a lot about anxiety and am using some of the tools to calm myself down. I wish you the best, Nice to meet you. Lillith 0 Posted November 11, 2014 Thank you so much, I looked around the different information this site provides and I think this will help. I'm horrible talking to people in person since I prefer silence most of the time; I'm a deep thinker. Tho I can't find anything related to my disorder, dissociative identity disorder, commonly known as Multiple personality disorder, so if you read something that "I" post in here and somehow doesn't go along with things I post..well now you might know why. Its hard, I have 6 split personalities. All are female, one is lesbian, another cries almost all the time, one is an asshole (this one have tendencies of Bulimia)... they are all so different. People get the "she's so weird!" Image of me.. and that makes me feel so alone. Thank you all for your welcoming replies, I hope this helps me.
