Hard trouble breathing

Recommended Posts

Hey gold, your airway won't actually be tight, maybe your chest muscles are? When you sleep your body will relax and you will breathe normally, your lungs will work all on their own, as they are supposed to do, so please don't worry you won't get enough oxygen. Anxiety can make us feel like we can't get a good breath and I recall you having some acid reflux recently? When I get it, it can make me feel a little wheezy, it could possible be that your esophagus is a little sore and confusing you, if that is what it is, it can be easily fixed, some antacids and it will heal.

Try not to focus on your breathing, let your lungs do what they do on their own, you can try some belly breathing if you are feeling anxious about it, we often shallow breathe when anxious and it doesn't allow our lungs to expand fully, belly breathing (watching your tummy rise and fall with each breath) when anxious naturally calms you down. Inhale through the nose, count to 4 and exhale, and try and relax.

Some camomile tea with honey in might help too, helps to calm and soothe.

It one of the anxiety symptoms to not get proper breathing and sleep. Avoid thinking negative thoughts and try to think of something that will help you divert your anxiety to relaxation activities. Exercise can you ease your breathing, sometimes its all we need. Try do some indoor exercise.
