Ashleyspicer84 84 Posted October 9, 2021 My husband tested positive on Thursday and he got reallllly down with it and it currently hospitalized with not really any improvement. My daughter tested positive on Monday and thankfully she has since tested neg twice. I tested positive on Thursday. I haven’t really had any symptoms except a stuffy nose and loss of taste and smell. Today I woke up and felt like it was trying to get into my chest so I came up here to the Er. I am seriously scared. Sitting here feeling like I’m going to pass out and I keep getting hot flashes. They said my vitals and oxygen are good and they just took a chest X-ray. Just waiting on the results. My mind is running absolutely wild.
Ironman 198 Posted October 9, 2021 The oxygen reading is important - it's supposed in the 90-100% range. My mother was facing congestive heart failure issues and was down to 78% - at that level, it's ER time. It sounds like everything is good. Colds do that, it runs from the nasal area to the test. The only thing you can do is blow your nose to keep as much of it from your lungs as possible. I'm going to pray for your husband. I wish the doctors would throw politics aside and look into the treatments they don't want people to talk about.
MotherOfMaya 18 Posted October 10, 2021 I had Covid a month ago and it did go into my lungs but I would say pretty mildly. I had some tightness and pain when I tried to inhale deeply and that caused me a lot of anxiety. I strongly suggest getting a pulse-ox for home. I used it every ten minutes through the entire ordeal and while everyone thought I was nuts it helped me calm down so much when I was fearing I couldn't breathe. As far as your husband, I would personally ask for budesonide and IV vitamin c. In high doses. I hope everything works out okay!
