moneakers 3 Posted December 20, 2020 I can’t believe I am posting this because it seems like a ridiculous thing to worry about 🤦🏻♀️ But earlier today I had a panic attack, was certain I was going to pass out at work. Ended up going to the bathroom and was okay. I noticed afterwards I was cold and my nail beds were basically purple! I work in a hospital and one of the nurses checked my O2. Totally fine (100%). Just seemed to be due to cold hands. They’ve definitely gotten better as the day has gone on but they still look purple-ish. For some reason I can’t stop looking at them and worrying about them! I just continually imagine all these symptoms are connected to some greater underlying terrible thing. I’m so tired of it 😭😭😭
MARC 431 Posted December 21, 2020 It sounds like it was from being cold. Sometimes when you are in panic mode, your mind turns to the worst.
jonathan123 2368 Posted December 21, 2020 Hi. moneakers. It's not ridiculous to worry about anything in HA. We can't help it. its the nature of the beast. Yes, cold can do that. Of course you are tired of it. Anxiety is a wearing and tiring complaint. We get sick of ourselves, and when there is no apparent way out it seems all the worse. But there is a way out. When something happens that we know is anxiety, (having been checked out by your GP of course) then accept it for what it is. Horrors, conjured up by a tired mind. We 'catastrophise' everything. When it comes again say to yourself ' Oh yeah!! here we go again. But this time I am not going to react to you. I am going to accept you for what you are. An illusion, a thought that has no validity, another trick from Mr. Anxieties' magic box. Take care.
Albertina Geller 3 Posted December 22, 2020 This happens when red blood cells can't carry enough oxygen but you told your oxygen level is normal. So I don't think that you should worry about it
