gale 17 Posted January 7, 2020 I have been suffering with these symptoms for many years. Of course doctors say it's anxiety. All tests are negative. These symptoms of fatigue, head and neck pain, swaying like being on a boat, shaking inside, burning skin, feeling numb, are with me 24/7. Someone told me anxiety does not act like that. If you have that it's something else. Yes I have read about MS. Feeling like doctors have made mistakes. I do take meds. Sometimes I get a little relief when I go to bed.... but once awake they return. Anybody here like me?? This started in my 20's I am now in my 60's. Can it last for years like this? gale 17 Posted January 7, 2020 Hi TE...... Thing I don't understand is why it lasts sooooo long. Am I in denial or what. This comes and goes and I can't function when I get this.
gale 17 Posted January 7, 2020 Have only seen a psych was in therapy a while back but never helped. Was diagnosed with anxiety but having a hard time accepting that's what it is. I am sorry..... feel like a pain here but just trying to understand. ☹️

Ashleyspicer84 84 Posted January 7, 2020 If you have ms then so do I because I have allll those same symptoms. I hate when people say anxiety can’t cause symptoms like this. Chronic anxiety is alot different then just a passing feeling of being anxious
MARC 429 Posted January 7, 2020 A friend of mine has MS and he is 55. His started with difficulty walking and he has had it for many years now. He still drives a car and wobbles when he walks with a cane. He sometimes has difficulty swallowing and swims everyday for exercise. He told me that he believes that if he did not swim for exercise, then he would be in a wheelchair. This guy was an athlete and was sort of a tough guy, before the MS hit him out of the blue.

Just so difficult when they don't go away!!! Always come for awhile and leave only to return. Really sucks!!!!
Ashleyspicer84 84 Posted January 7, 2020 My symptoms to the same thing. I don’t think I’ll ever be completely rid of them.
gale 17 Posted January 7, 2020 Marc thanks for your reply..... Sorry to hear this about your friend. I give him so much credit for what he does. I have such a fear of this disease and have read how hard it is to detect. I have had 3 MRI's and I still worry.

I’ve had it for 11 years now. I felt alone too before I found this forum. It helped me alot to see that I was not alone and there are alot of people out there going through the same things as me. It was very comforting to me to have a place where I could voice my fears and have people say “I’ve been there too and had that same symptom and I’m okay”. It’s nice to have someone there to reassure you that it’s just anxiety. It also is like having a journal for me because I can go back and see everything I’ve struggled with and remind myself that it is indeed just anxiety. gale 17 Posted January 8, 2020 You sound so much like me! Are your symptoms 24/7? Mine are and when I go to bed I get a little relief. I may get a few weeks of relief here and there. Having a hard time it's all anxiety. Keep in touch Ashley!!!! 😘
Ashleyspicer84 84 Posted January 8, 2020 They used to be 24/7 but they aren’t anymore. I’ve learned to recognize what’s panic and what’s not and for the most part that’s helped. I still have my days that I totally loose to anxiety but thankfully they are not as common as they used to be.
