H_Anxiety 6 Posted April 4, 2017 HI all, I have been a way for a while, which has been good! Dealing with the HA pretty well. Until today. I got a crap in my calf and some pain, I then looked at it and it looked big, I compared both legs and measured and asked my wife, all confirmed one is larger than the other. Should I go to the ER for a leg scan for a DVT? Any suggestions?
utrocket09 115 Posted April 4, 2017 Here are some signs to look for according to my vascular doc. Is the area red or hot to the touch? Is it swollen? Does it hurt to walk? and by hurt to walk I mean are you unable to walk? If yes, then go right away. I was also explained that symptoms are not subtle either. I myself was just diagnosed with a vein compression disorder and am at risk of blood clots now
MARC 431 Posted April 5, 2017 My wife had similar symptoms and her physician said for her to go to the ER. She then had an ultrasound and it was negative. The ER physician said every case can be different and may need to be investigated if you are unsure or have persistent or worsening symptoms.
