karlajj 0 Posted July 20, 2012 My heart goes out to those who are suffering from the acts of this coward; what kind of courage does it take to go into a darkened theater, throw smoke so no one can see to escape and open fire on unsuspecting movie goers! I cannot fathom what was going through this guys mind, I honestly think he thought he would get away since his actions were not that of the usual "s****de by cop" and on top of it all I believe without the advent of cell phones he would have. I have been trying to wrap my head around these events all day and cannot do it. I have had crying jags every time I change the channel and there is another report; my solution was to turn off the tv, avoid social media for the most part and even turn off my phone. To any of you who live in the area, or have friends and/or family there I am truly sorry that you have had to endure this.
Mrs. Rogers 2 Posted July 20, 2012 This news story was incredibly sad when I read it this morning. All those poor people...even a four month old baby? There are some truly sick and twisted evil people in this world. I hope the families of the deceased are finding peace wherever they can.
Gilly 1086 Posted July 20, 2012 Terribly tragic karla. Nobody should ever lose their life doing something they love like going to the cinema, its just incredibly sad. My husband and I were going to see the movie next week but I dont really want to now. The guy has to be very sick, dressing up like he did, booby trapping his apartment, delusional. It's just so hard to take in. All I can think is there were kids in there, little kids dressed up for a night of fun. I can't get my head around why someone could do something like this. RIP to those who lost their lives and my thoughts are with their family and friends. Wishing a speedy recovery to those injured.
Mrs. Rogers 2 Posted July 21, 2012 I agree. It makes you think about all the things that you enjoy and makes you afraid to do any of them! I know a friend of mine went to the movies tonight and made a post on Facebook about being worried for their well being while there. I just hope that this doesn't spring a copy cat into action.
