MUCUS IN STOOL?

Recommended Posts

Hi Ryan, mucuous in the stool is very common with IBS, which can go hand in hand with anxiety as the gut is linked to the brain so closely. Post nasal drip can be made worse by allergies, which can be made worse by anxiety. I am ALWAYS clearing my throat.

Could also be that nasal drip is dripping down your throat and through the digestive system.

Mucus is a protective layer the body makes. When the gut is really in horrid shape, producing mucus is not an issue to

worry about . It's just the belly trying to protect itself. When your anxiety goes lower, your belly will feel better.
