gut trouble

Recommended Posts

I still feel a certain discomfort in the bottom right part of my abdomen, hard to say what it is exactly. Feels a bit like gas but not exactly. I don't think that should only effect one side. My doctor said my colon had lots of activity when he felt it but still scared of the big CC.

The digestive tract goes back and forth.  It probably is gas or constipation.

Just seems weird that it would be more prominent on one side. He said it could be a stomach bug but wasn't prescribed anything.

If it's gas or a constipation blockage, it would be localized.  Water might help with that to start with.  That would NOT be CC for sure - that's a whole different scenario that's further down anyway.

well the intestines more generally I guess. Can't help being scared though. You seem confident that what I'm describing is different though.

The intestines are different than the colon.  Digestive issue?  I have lactose intolerance, so I know about the intestine pain that moves around.  Constipation can do it too.

bad gas lately too. ugh

That would definitely do it.  Dehydration leads to constipation.  Your intestines pull water from you to get the poo going sometimes.  The mucus to push it through relies on water.

Check your urine color for dehydration.  It should be pale lemonade in color.   If it looks like water, you are overhydrated.  If it's deep yellow to brown, you are dehydrated.

I am seeing a doctor tomorrow again. They hear lots of activity each time they check. I'm hoping that's a good sign and trying to let it calm me.

They should - I would bet your digestive tract is pretty healthy.

Hope so. She did not see any cause for alarm. Likely gas pains and or dehydration.

Trying to drink more water, might see if there are supplements available.

There are plenty of supplements.  Mutlivitamins are good.  I struggle with dehydration even in the winter with the running I do.

Do you have similar pains?

At times, but not for the same reasons.  I also have lactose intolerance than creep up.

The mutilvitamins help with the physical activity and immune system.

I can't get answers. So scared it's a tumor.

How would it be a tumor?  They would have said something like that already if it was true.

Because they wouldn't know either.

They'd be able to see a tumor.

If it's that bothersome, then talk to your doctor.

Constipation and its pain is not a tumor.  I had pains from constipation again today.  It's dehydration and gas.

I did see a doctor.

Then why are you convinced there is a tumor?
