Happened for years. I don't know what's going on. When you feel the need to go, is that during the night? I know that is supposed to happen a bit more when we age. I pee before bed, but then don't go again until I get up - unless I am asleep for 8-9 hours (rare occurrence). Then again, I have a constant issue with dehydration - even in winter, since I exercise and have practical hyperhydrosis anyway. Part of it may be anxiety - the nerves in general might do it.
