MARC 431 Posted January 17, 2021 My wife is a pharmacist and she sees people with OCD getting prescriptions for drugs that are not typically designated for OCD (off label uses), such as Tramadol, clonazepam, citalopram and the list goes on. She said some physicians are using off label drugs when others fail to help, patients have side effects, etc. She has had to call physicians a number of times as some doses may seem high, etc., but in most instances the physician say the dose and drug is OK as prescribed. BenJohnson 0 Posted January 23, 2021 Therapy can be very helpful with OCD symptoms. Check out the International OCD Foundation website for lots of resources. Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is a type of behavioral intervention (the “B” in CBT) that has research backing its effectiveness. Hope that helps!
