MobileChucko 23 Posted July 29, 2019 Back in 2010, I was diagnosed with Panic Disorder with panic attacks. After ups-and-downs with different doctors and different medication, I finally started care under a psychiatrist, and was put on 30 mg of Remeron. Remeron worked great for me, for some 3 to 4 years. Then, in the winter of 2013, the Remeron just stopped working. Now Remeron is a great med, but one of its known peculiarities is that it will all of a sudden just stop working for you. In fact of all medications in the world, including over-the-counter (OTC) ones, Remeron about tops the list for doing this. We tried increasing the dose of the Remeron to 45 mg, and that did nothing. So my psychiatrist started me on 20 mg of Celexa. She decided to keep me on the Remeron, as she felt that it was still doing some good in some respects. It was a rough time getting the Celexa on-board, and I think I might have even had a mild case of serotonin syndrome, but as the weeks went by, my body got use to the mix, and I started showing improvement. So these are the two meds I am on, Remeron and Celexa, and the combination seems to be working well for me. I'm interested in hearing your story...
