Panicking over accidental traffic faux pas?

Recommended Posts

So earlier I was driving to Walmart and hear ambulance sirens blaring up ahead where I'm about to turn off. At this turn you're supposed to yield if you have a green and the ambulance coming ahead I thought was far enough for me to safely make my turn, but a second after I make my turn I hear the ambulance pass behind me, so I'm left to wonder if I cut it off accidentally. Mind you there was other traffic and I thought I was honestly clear to go. As someone who's paranoid about driving, is someone coming to hunt me down and throw me in jail or fine me if I did cut it off? In this age where almost every other car has a dashcam or looks for license plate numbers, I feel like I'm a wanted man on the lamb. HELP

Abe, they wouldn't have time to track down the person that cut them off, even though it doesn't sound like to me that you did cut them off. They have a job and they have to focus on that. The last thing they would worry about is someone who didn't know where they were on the street.

Don't sweat my friend :)

Thing is if I had waited a couple of seconds more they could have passed no problem. Plus some EMTs can report a car if they feel they've been cut off. I really hope you're right, if it's not HA based worries, it's things like this. I try my best to be a good motorist but people like to think the worst
