Pain in elbow???

Recommended Posts

So this has been going on for about a week and a half now and today it hurt the worst. MY FREAKIN ELBOW HURTS. I've been having an enormous amount of anxiety lately and every symptom has come and gone and I've been able to convince myself more and more over the passing days, 'It's anxiety', but this elbow thing is super weird. Basically it hurts when I stretch my arm out and it's not a little ache but like a 'crap that hurts' ache. It doesn't really go away either. I googled (shouldn't have) but didn't even find much on what it could be. Obviously my first thought is bone cancer but I don't feel a lump or anything....yet. Any ideas on what this stupidness is? Makes me mad because I was having a really good Friday and then BAM I stretched my arm and the pain was there again.

It's not a 'bump' kind of feeling honestly, it feels more like the veins or whatever is around the bone. Or the muscle??? I'm not even sure what's inside the arm lol I never took anatomy! But maybe it is a bone....I'm just so clueless lol I tried a brace for my hand (I type on a keyboard all day) but it didn't do anything.

I painted my bathroom off and on for some days last week and ended up with ' painter's elbow'. Yep, I googled and it's the same as tennis elbow. The important thing to note is I googled for an answer NOT to scare myself. Then I knew what had happened. It was from gripping the paint brush for so long, same as you'd grip a tennis racket. Now it hurts mainly when I stretch it out or try to grip something. Getting a pan out of the oven has been hard this week but I know what it is and what caused it and it will go away.  If you type all day you could have all manner of sore or strained tendons, ligaments and muscles.  Just try to take it very easy for several days and don't do anything extra and let it rest. If you can move your keyboard to give support to the elbow , instead of it dangling, while you type, it may help.

Its really just doing something with repetition. For me it was the 3 days of picking up boxes to move. For some it is tennis or golf and that gal said painting. Super easy to tweak your tendons and stuff around it. Go on youtube and look for exercises to help it
