Anyone have any tight muscle advice?

Recommended Posts

Every time I seem to get myself worried about something I wake up the next day and I am stiff as a board. My entire body is just basically one giant cramp. The worst is the shoulders. I have tried a hot shower, I have tried tea and I have tried light exercise. All of which helped, but none of which seemed to make it fully go away. I'm at the point where I'm almost in tears because my shoulders are so tight. Any help would be much appreciated

I am on the same boat... Massages help but they are expensive, the best next thing is a muscle relaxant but you need prescription for that. Yoga for upper issues is great as well. I recommend this practice (it's kind of boring but does work):

https://www.amazon.com/Viniyoga-Therapy-Upper-Shoulders-Kraftsow/dp/B000U0FZ0K/ref=sr_1_2?crid=183XA49SU7VE1&keywords=viniyoga+therapy+for+the+upper+back%2C+neck+and+shoulders&qid=1549926559&s=gateway&sprefix=viniyoga%2Cfashion%2C122&sr=8-2

Good luck

Soak in an epsom salt bath. Epsom salt contains magnesium, which can relax muscles. You can also take magnesium (tablets or something like Natures Calm powder that dissolved in water) but it can have laxative qualities if you take too much. Progressive muscle relaxation is a good technique to use before bed as well. Basically you tense your muscles one at a time from head to toes as tight as you can and then relax them. Search progressive muscle relaxation (PMR) and you will find some instructions and guided YouTube videos on how to practice it.
