madtowncard 40 Posted January 29, 2019 I've yet to get an answer I'm so nervous about taking Zoloft after taking Klonopin. My Dr started me on it to help taper off klonopin. Has anyone had both at the same time?
Shanowl80 73 Posted January 30, 2019 I take 100 mg Zoloft and 0.5 Klonopin every night together.
madtowncard 40 Posted January 30, 2019 How does it make you feel together? I've got about a month over klonopin left. Tomorrow I start taking 25 mg of Zoloft. My dr basically told me he would not prescribe klonopin anymore.
Shanowl80 73 Posted January 30, 2019 I take it at bedtime. I’ve been on zoloft for a very long time. Like 20 years. Klonopin I’ve only been on for 5 years. They are fine together. You are starting Zoloft at a low dosage so that’s good.
Shanowl80 73 Posted January 30, 2019 Zoloft is not a benzo and does not give you a calming feeling, though. Just don’t want you to expect that.
LilyLabVA 56 Posted January 30, 2019 I am on both as well. They have different functions. Zoloft will take some time to work initially. Are you seeing a psychiatrist or a regular doctor? Please inquire about getting off the Klonapin in a VERY slow taper overseen by a medical professional in the mental health field. It's not something to get off quickly.
