jonathan123 2368 Posted June 3, 2013 Hang in there aslpassion. Admin will be with you later and then we can all see how we can help. Perhaps you could give us a little more info about yourself. In the meantime have a look at the information on the site about panic and anxiety. A read of this may help you understand more. J.
Gilly 1086 Posted June 3, 2013 Hey lecia, weclome to AC. You have come to the right place! Have you seen a doctor? If you haven't that should be the next step. Get checked out, find out what you are dealing with and then address it. Anxiety and panic suck really bad but it cannot harm us and we can feel better again. It certainly can but that is great! Keep doing what you do, what makes it worse is avoidance, stopping doing something because you are too scared or anxious. You are 16, it is a pretty eventful time in life, but it's also really good you have gotten help at a young age, as you get older I'm certain it will get better, the future is bright for you!! You kick ass
jonathan123 2368 Posted June 3, 2013 Hi lecia. You know you can literally 'grow out' of this condition. At your age you have every chance of doing just that. Yes, avoidance! To continually avoid the places you fear is not helpful. Neither is forcing yourself to do things that make you uncomfortable. Moderation is the key word. A wise person once said that 'recovery lies in the places you fear'. That is so true. But in going to those places you have to learn to accept how you feel and not fight your way there and back. Try and accept that the way you feel now is normal for someone in an anxiety state and that you CAN recover. Everyone on this site and many off it suffer as you do so keep posting and let us know how you are. Best wishes. J.
