  1. Thank you, Ironman! I’m so sick of waking up thinking about it.. going to bed thinking about it 😞 my logical brain can’t seem to win over this anxiety 😞
  2. Hi everyone! I am new to this forum and looking for some help/advice. I am a 41-year-old mother of three very healthy and very slight and athletic. I’m 5 foot six about 110 pounds. I do have health anxiety but also have been having some physical symptoms and I’m looking for some reassurance specifically surrounding some questions I have regarding ALS . I was experiencing some strange feelings in my right arm so I had an EMG. It was more of a tingling and numbness but he did my entire right arm from my wrist all the way up to my shoulder as well as two electrodes in the back of my neck. The entire EMG and nerve conduction study was completely normal. I know that should give me some relief but now I am experiencing visible twitching in my feet arches both of them… Calves both of them occasionally my thighs also. My husband is trying to tell me this is all anxiety-based but I am a nervous wreck. Also had a completely clean clinical exam by the same neurologist that did my EMG and nerve conduction study which were both normal. Basically I think I am left with a question that I can’t really find an answer to… is the EMG and nerve conduction study in my arm along with the clinical exam enough to completely clear me of ALS even though now the symptoms I’m experiencing are in my lower body? I kind of feel like stupid for asking… But I feel like almost it was having a sore pinky and having him test a big toe if you know what I mean? Basically would the EMG be sensitive enough to pick up ALS in my arm if they arm was not symptomatic but the feet and legs were symptomatic? Thank you so much it is getting impossible for me to focus on anything except fear and worry. I do have another EMG scheduled for January 5 but I might self-implode until then .
