Citalopram

Recommended Posts

Can anyone here share their PERSONAL experience with this drug with me please, I'm only interested in people who are either on it currently or have taken it in the past.

What I want to know is what kind of feeling did you get from taking this particular drug and how long it took to receive any benefit from them.

Thank you in advance.

Hey Pro, I took this med a couple years ago. Personally I had a severe reaction against it. I had an insanely rapid heart rate, felt bad nausea and burning skin. I ended up in hospital and had to stop taking it. Other people I know have had very good experiences with it, so please don't let my experience turn you off it. I believe it should take a few weeks to show a positive effect.

Hope it goes well for ya!

Thanks JJ, so far I'm on 30 days and not really feeling any better, just worse, I will persevere and see what happens.

I have taken so many of the meds out there....paxil, prozac, lexapro, busbar, etc., and personally, the celexa (or citalopram) worked the best for me. In the beginning I had a terribly upset stomach, felt foggy and had patches that felt like someone had lit a fire under my skin, but these disappeared in time. Antidepressants normally take up to 3 months to level off in your system. If I was taking anything today it would be celexa.
