first of all multivitamins are great for anxiety when were anxious and depressed our body is usually laking in vitamin b12 vitamin d etc so a multivitamin is a excellent thing to take wether your anxious or not, as for the mix of meds, Zoloft is a ssri, it will not interact with a multivitamin or the klonopin.

Srri's are anti depressants zoloft is very well tolerated and has minimal side effects it will take between 6-8 weeks to have full effect in this time you dr may up your dose.

Main side effects of zoloft are

increased anxiety for the 1st few days, headaches, may cause you to feel sleepy or the opposite may make you slightly hyper, bowel issues sickness or dizzyness are very very common, but will go within the 1st 2 weeks. the Key is to not let the side effects put you off and to battle through the settling in period.

Klonopin is a benzo compately different class of drug from zoloft completely, minimal side effects main one is drowsyness but it is good for a quick fix for you anxiety, try and only take it when needed and not every single day.

In the next 4-6 weeks you dr may updose your zoloft if this happens be prepared to go through the settling in period all over again.

you don;t have to worry about mixing any of the medications your dr/cllinic/therapist whoever has prescribed you there are nointeractions between them and none will cause any reactions by taking them together.

All in all you will be fine and the medication will help but you have to give it time and not give up on it if it doesnt work right away.

also therapy  combined with meds is always the best option so possibly ask your dr/psych for cbt or other such therapys

well flip the fact your going to therapy and such is great, always remeber if you feel worse or you feel your medication isnt working ( by not working i mean you feel no different after the 4-6 weeks settling in period or after you updose) tell your dr/therapist and they may change your meds, medication is always trial and error sometimes it takes a med change or updose for you to get any relief, sometimes it take 1-3 med changes before you find a medication that feels right for you, in the meantime keep taking your meds , keep going to therapy, try herbal remedies too like bachs rescue remedy (comes in all forms i.e a spray on , liquid drops, pastilles you suck or chewing gum), chamomile tea, im currently  using chamomile tea infused with spiced apple in the evenings (it is so tasty and rly soothing can get it in the supermarket or health food shop) if you feel you need more energy then peppermint tea or a revitalising tea like tea with lemon grass or green tea is good too and none of them interact with medication so its perfectly safe. If you want anymore in depth info on your meds please feeel free to pm me or ask you pharmacist or dr for more info.

Wishing you all the best hunni hang in there i promise it does  get better

sounds ike a top notch plan flip nice deep breathing  do it in the bath, give you a tip here are some steps to follow

1. run your bath with your favourite bubble bath or scented oil/whatever you use thats nice and relaxing

2. make sure the bath is warm very comfortable and soothing warm

3. get in the bath and place on hand on you tummy and one hand on your chest

5. start breathing slowly and try it this way

1. breath in deeply through your nose for a count of 5-6 nice and deep from your tummy not your chest

2. exhale out your mouth slow and steady for a count of 7-8 if you can

(if you cant do it for that long try in for 5 out for 6 or 7)

keep doing it till you feel it becoming regular. .............. at the same time with every inhale start doing some relaxation, tense your body slightly not a lot but just a little as you inhale and as you exhale release do that for about 2-5 minutes and hopefully you will feel the tension and agitation or worry just gradually decrease with every breath.

It's worth a try works a treat for me lol xxx

Hope it gives you some relief hunni, I remeber the days where i would kill to have a few hours of what i called "inner peace", no anxy feelings no depressed feelings just a little bit of calm in my body and my head. It's long road some find it longer than others but there is a beautiful calm at the end of that road and inbetween, i hope you find yours soon xx

Flip, I hope you are doing better.

Started sertraline (Zoloft) last night and this post has really helped me out in not giving up and expecting worse before better or in this case the same before better. Sometimes it gets to seem useless with meds, especially when going so long with a doctor who doesn't listen, but I found one who does and am committed to working with her and giving it all a try.
