  1. Great to hear Jessica, We’re only here once and I’ve put off so much due to Anxiety but not anymore. I wish you all the best with overcoming these symptoms and moving on 🙂
  2. Hi all! I’ve suffered with anxiety and panic attacks over the last 20 yrs or so which caused depression and fake illness etc. Once I realised that these feelings pass I just accepted that I would continue having these attacks forever. I would go months feeling good but always waiting for the return of that dreaded feeling. I have had a few therapist and connected really well with one a few years back but as sure as the sun rises.....anxiety returned again and again. I gave up on expensive psychology as I tried medication and it was the worse 18 mths of my life. I have recently started reading self help books and have found these incredibly helpful. My favourite is “Don’t Feed The Monkey Mind” by Jennifer Shannon. The thing I love about this book is the author has also suffered from anxiety and is a therapist. She looks into the way you allow others to treat you and how you treat yourself.....it really is a different way of looking at yourself and has helped me continue to grow. I’ve always been a people pleaser, perfectionist and always carry the extra load at work......mr reliable, never saying no, thinking that’s what makes me a worthwhile person. All the while.....that’s been feeding my anxiety all along! I now am slowly changing the way in which I’m used at work which has been hard learning not to give a shit what people think. I still turn up everyday, do as much as anyone else and say no to unreasonable tasks that no one else seems to get out of......and everyone still likes me? This has lowered my stress at work and allows me more time after work to exercise etc........ Just wanted to share something positive as after 20 yrs, it’s still possible to change for yourself 😇 I felt embarrassed reading these books so I buy them for my iPad via the kindle app and no one knows......isn’t that silly, being embarrassed about helping yourself 🙈 Garry.
