Hi everyone, For about 2 years now, I've had this strange sensation whenever I have a bad dream. The bad dream wakes me up and my heart is flying out of my chest and all of my muscles begin to ache/get tingly. It feels as though I'm being electrocuted (in encompasses all of my muscles from neck down). It's not sleep paralysis because I am conscious and can move; it just hurts to move. Once I calm down and my heart stops flying, everything stops hurting and I can go back to sleep. Has anyone had any experience with this? It only happens when I have a bad dream. A friend told me it could be nocturnal panic attacks but I'm not sure (I do have anxiety). Thanks!
