Coping mechanisms for Generalized Anxiety Disorder

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure how many people will see this but I am struggling with Generalized Anxiety Disorder. I am a younger person, yet I worry like an adult. I have come up with a coping mechanism that isn't really a good one. It is staying up for hours at night on my tablet...I stay up until I literally tire myself out, then I fall asleep. My coping mechanism is to literally drain myself of any energy I have so I fall asleep. Does anyone have any healthier coping mechanisms for this? If so, please share.

I like to take baths and meditate. I learned that self care can be really helpful. Sometimes a cup of tea can bring an edge off too.
