mythypaw 0 Posted December 18, 2017 I am not really worried about this symptom, but I am curious if other people are experiencing this. For the past couple of weeks, I have been having pain whenever I swallow a cold drink once it hits my stomach. It only happens when I have swallowed it and lasts for only a couple seconds. It can be water or carbonated drinks. But if I drink anything room temperature or warm, it doesn’t happen. I cannot tell yet if it happens with something like ice cream. Just wanting to see if other people are dealing with this! Thanks
Angelica Schuyler 217 Posted December 18, 2017 I get this on occasion. It's almost like my stomach is shocked by the cold and hurts like mad. Typically, it only happens after the first drink or two and then my stomach "adjusts" to the temperature.
healthworrier92 15 Posted December 18, 2017 That happens to me occasionally. Whenever I drink soda from the can, the first gulp after I open it feel really painful going down, like the carbonation is a shock to my body. After that, I'm usually ok. It is worse when the soda is cold.
