KarenL 0 Posted October 6, 2017 (edited) I was experiencing some anxiety and insomnia for the last year so my GP prescribed Ambien 5 mg and 1 xanax .25 a day. I went in last week and she said since my anxiety was getting worse and she suspected depression , she set up an appointent with a psychiatrist. I saw her yesterday and she prescribed 2 xanax. .25 a day, 1 trazadone 50 mg at night for sleep and duloxetine 20 mg once a day. I've heard such bad things about the dulox etine that I'm afraid to take it. I'm 63 and not very smart about prescriptions since I've never really taken any. Also, is it common to take the xanaxwhen I feel very panicky and it just barely works. Thanks for any input.
