Torontogirl 73 Posted October 24, 2016 Hi, I'm back again. The sensations I mentioned are driving me nuts. I had a better attitude over the last year or two and didn't let the sensations cause me to become panicky. Also, during the summer I don't have to wear anything on my legs so it's not as noticeable. Autumn is here and I feel cold and have to wear clothing on my legs, so I notice the sensations alot more. It's really upsetting. As some of you know, I've been tested extensively by neurologists, had many medical tests etc and nothing can be found. There really isn't a test left to do or a doctor left to see. I will admit I have a lingering thought process that I can't seem to shake. In the recesses of my mind I think I have some sort of autoimmune disorder or an autonomic disease that the multitude of doctors have missed. It really does scare me. I know people here can relate so I just wanted to unload some of my horror. My husband just says it's in my head and to let it go. Blah blah! Thanks for reading.....? Snowbunnyface 31 Posted October 25, 2016 Hi, I get the same sensations on my legs. It can last all day then disappear for months. If I panic about it it feels like my legs are going paralysed. Of course they still move but its not a fun feeling. Not being able to describe the sensation drives the anxiety up and it sucks. I assumed its anxiety or hormonal because it tends to happen a week before my period. Do they feel weak as well as prickly? I mean FEEL weak, not ARE weak. Emma245 28 Posted October 25, 2016 Hi there, i suffer with this too. Sometimes my legs are tingly and at other times They feel almost numb down the front. I booked a doctors appointment to go and see them about it but then cancelled it because the chances are pretty high that it's just a symptom of my anxiety and i didn't want to look stupid. It wears off sometimes and then other times it's back and I can't shake it, like when i lay in bed. Sometimes my toes go numb or get pins and needles. Like you i have times when my anxiety levels are through the roof and i feel like i have something seriously wrong with me. But i'm i cold person and it;s probably just because my feet are cold, or I've had my feet up laying on the sofa so the blood has gone from my feet. Trying to stop doing that so much to see if it helps! Like everyone on here i try to manage it and brush it off, but i know it's really hard and feel for you both. Thank you for sharing this on here though, just knowing that i'm not alone and that other people experience similar things is very helpful to me. I really appreciate it. Torontogirl 73 Posted October 25, 2016 Snowbunny, they never feel weak but believe me they feel sore, prickly and sensitive. Thanks to both of you for posting...
Mike L 86 Posted November 2, 2016 Do you sit a lot by any chance?
Torontogirl 73 Posted November 3, 2016 No I wouldn't say I do in general. I'm pretty fit, with some periods of sitting....
Mike L 86 Posted November 4, 2016 It could be the position you sit. Almost like when your leg falls asleep and you walk funny for a minute. That's the blood flowing back. It doesn't sound like it is anything to worry about especially since you don't seem to have other symptoms.
