Any suggestions

Recommended Posts

So I've been getting some weird sensations the last 2 days. Whenever I eat food it hurts to swallow and I can feel it go down in my stomach and it hurts. After a little bit I'll burp and the pressure will go away but I'll get the feeling back as soon as I eat again. Any ideas of what's going on? Ive been a little anxious and tired the last 2 days but I've never had this issue.

Well I think you are focused on the feeling so it makes it worse . And would bet if you didn't focus it would go away or not really be noticed . I know how easy it is to focus on something . But rationalize it for a bit and I think you will see that it's ok .

You mention burping and going away . Sounds like a form of indigestion or acid reflux . Remember severe pains or issues don't just go away like that .

Sounds like your belly / intestines are full of gas. So when you add more food to the equation, it has to move things around to make room.  Try the burping before you eat and eat really slowly and chew a long while so the food bits are smaller than you swallow. If you are more anxious, that can definitely lead to accidentally taking in more AIR during the dayand when you add food at a meal it's just creating a traffic jam.

I have had to chew my food longer and had a glass of water to help it go down. Something like when I take my medications it goes down real slow. But food I swallow it I can feel it slowly moving down and have had pain as well. Eat smaller portions in your mouth, chew really good and try not to focus to much. I get that feeling sometimes when I have a ice cold shake and boy does that hurt. Hope you can enjoy your meals better.   Kathy
